Muhammad Waseem Yaseen joined the Climate Smart Lab at the University of Prince Edward Island as a PhD student in Environmental Sciences in Winter 2026. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from The University of Lahore and an MPhil in Applied Hydrology from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. His research interests focus on climate change impacts on hydrological systems, hydrological modeling and the use of data-driven and AI-based approaches in environmental and engineering systems. Before joining UPEI, he worked as a university lecturer in The University of Lahore, Pakistan, and took on academic leadership roles, contributing to program coordination, student engagement, and accreditation activities. He has published several peer-reviewed research articles related to hydrology, flood analysis, and water-related engineering applications.
