Aylar holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and is a passionate advocate for sustainable development and environmental planning. With expertise in GIS and a keen interest in climate change and its impacts, Aylar is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Sciences at UPEI, focusing on enhancing climate resilience in Prince Edward Island through integrated land use planning. Her research interests span GIS, sustainable development, climate change adaptation, environmental management, urban design , and urban governance. Aylar’s previous projects include analyzing the impacts of public transportation on sustainable urban development and presenting detailed plans for informal settlements with an urban planning approach. As a dedicated professional, she seeks to leverage her skills and knowledge to contribute to the creation of smart, sustainable cities and resilient communities.
