Emmanuel Okine neokye graduated from the University of Kagoshima Japan, Faculty of Fisheries with a master’s degree in Fisheries Science and Technology. His research focused on “The role of oceanic environmental conditions on catch of Sardinella Spp. in Ghana” which was published with the Regional Studies in Marine Science (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rsma.2021.101768). He is also a recipient of the 2022 United Nations Nippon Fellowship Award, with in-depth knowledge in climate change, marine science, and the United Nations Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). He has over 10 years of working experience with the Fisheries Scientific Survey Division in Ghana where he was involved in scientific research and ocean surveys.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Climate Smart Lab, Canadian Center for Climate Change and Adaptation, pursuing Environmental Sciences. He is now focusing on climate change impacts on oyster aquaculture in PEI. His recent publication titled, “Climate Change Impacts on Oyster Aquaculture – Part I: Identification of Key Factors” was published in the Environmental Research Journal (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envres.2024.118561).

Collectively, we are working together with experts from all disciplines to build a climate-smart future for the next generation and many generations to come.
