Kaihuai Deng

Otto (Kaihuai) Deng is an undergraduate student from Nan­jing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) through Mitacs program. He studies in Atmospheric Science (Hydrometeorology). His research centres on satellite remote sensing of hydrological drought, extending into land–atmos­phere coupling mechanisms and climate change impact attribution. He grew up in Guangdong, a  monsoon and typhoon-proned region, this drives his motivation to use science to reduce harm and inform equitable decision-making.
